Our mission at the Agave Spirits Institute
Our mission is to educate professionals and amateurs alike in the history, tradition, and sensory tasting of agave spirits, allowing them to serve as ambassadors of spirits with centuries of history.
As sommeliers and microbiologists, master distillers and historians, we recognize that the rapid growth of agave products has far-reaching economic, social, political and economic implications.

Our Educational Offerings
ASI’s study program is divided into five courses: one introductory course and four levels of certification. Upon completion of all four levels of certification, students earn the title of Master of Agave Spirits. A fifth certification level is available for individuals interested in becoming educators and earning the certification necessary to impart lessons on agave spirits at the professional level.
